Technician will primarily focus on conducting pre- and post-treatment surveys for pinyon IPS activity on the Cibola National Forest with researchers from the RMRS and other state agencies.

They will also assist with urban forest health monitoring, monitoring of forest insects, collection of trapped insects, and other FS forest health monitoring activities.

Special skills needed for this position include identification of insects to order, tree identification, conducting field work, and operating large vehicles in the woods.

$500 / 2 weeks

Direct hire authority granted upon completion of 960 hours (6 mos. FT).
